The Canada Goose
Branta canadensis
The Canada goose is available throughout Sweden except for the mountains in the northern part of sweden. The Canada goose is the largest Goose (wingspan 160-185 cm, weight up to 4.5 kg)
Characteristics
The Canada goose is known to form hybrids with most of other geese species although this is an unusual phenomenon. The main intersection is with greylag goose but hybrids are also reported with other geese species. These hybrids will be something of a hybrid of the various species and may have a quite unusual appearance.
